McDonald’s
Ray Kroc (1902-1984) was a milkshake mixer salesman from San Diego, California. In 1955, while most restaurants were ordering one or two machines, the McDonald brothers had eight. Intrigued to find out why, Kroc visited the restaurant and was greeted with mass of customers, no servers, but when he ordered his meal at the window it was given to him immediately.
Kroc was blown away and asked the McDonalds if he could become franchise agent for them. They agreed and in 1955 McDonald’s Systems Inc was registered, later to become McDonald’s Corporation.
